We are excited to welcome passionate individuals who are ready to contribute to our mission of ensuring safety and security in the communities we serve.Job Summary:The Loss Prevention Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned territory. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing safety processes and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:Work as an undercover agent to prevent theftDetect and observe potential shopliftersConduct apprehensions and recoveries as described in post ordersDocument incidents, report emergencies and contact appropriate authoritiesUtilize smartphone or tablet to maintain daily electronic reportsWork closely with local law enforcement and provide detailed statements on theft casesMust possess a valid Guard CardMust have reliable method for transportationMust possess exceptional customer service skillsCCTV and knowledge of 6-step process of loss preventionMust have knowledge of theft prevention, conflict resolution, and de-escalation methodsExcellent report writing skillsMust be able to operate and maintain site specific security programsMust be punctualPrevious loss prevention experience is preferredThis position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending, and lifting.
